Dr. Jon Fox leads a data science team at Walmart focused on delivering the right product at the right time and at the right price for customers across the globe.
The job of “data scientist” remains one of the sexiest job titles across multiple industries. This presentation will examine elements of data science for a small retail company located in Northwest Arkansas. We will survey algorithms, engineering, and technologies aligned with data science projects supporting retail and supply chain operations. Additional time will be available for questions related to transitioning from academics to industry.
